Wearing bold and bright clashes of block colour is a great way to brighten up your day.
I love brights in winter…. see some HERE and HERE… but they also work well in summer.
The bright colours echo the boldness of nature at this time of year.
This royal blue dress was calling out for a nice clash.
Mine came in the form of a magenta bag, but most bold colours would have worked beautifully.
Yellow, orange, green… anything goes really!
I grounded the clash of colour with neutral shoes and a (mostly) tan belt.
This belt is wrapped with multicoloured threads of colour which is a great way to add more interest.
By adding bright lipstick, a heart brooch and a colourful belt the eye automatically moves around my outfit making it seem more interesting… with minimal effort!
I bought this dress on eBay and I have to tell you how disappointed I am.
We all know that buying secondhand eBay clothes can be a hugely successful and we can bag fabulous bargains.
However, every now and again you’ll be sold a pup.
I paid much more than I normally would for second hand because this dress is by whistles, and I knew the quality would be great.
However, this dress has been so ‘well worn’ that the elastane threads are coming out through the fabric.
It’s well and truly ‘done’.
I won’t be wearing it again.
Ah well, you win some you lose some.
Please share any disappointing purchases you have made in the comments, or contact me to share your story.
I would love to hear from you!
